Hyderabad- Slogans of "CM Down Down"-Residents rally to protest demolition of houses in Musi

Hyderabad: Residents settled in Musi catchment areas of Hyderabad today staged a strong protest against the government's decision to demolish their houses. As part of this protest, they took out a rally from Langar House to the Secretariat, in which slogans of "CM Down Down" were raised. Police tried to stop the rally, but the protestors were unwilling to back down and continued their march towards the secretariat.
There is tension in the Musi catchment area as the process of demolishing houses in the area is being initiated by the government authorities. Local residents are vehemently opposing the process and preventing officials from conducting a survey related to rehabilitation. Whenever officials come to collect information, they are turned away by the residents.
The situation became even more grim in areas like Maruti Nagar in Kothapeta when residents blocked roads and carried out survey work.
